Recently, the Southwest Middlesex Fire Department in Glencoe was the recipient of a grant provided by Enbridge Gas as part of Safe Community Project Assist. Robin Ellwood, Operations Supervisor at Enbridge Gas says the program aims to help many fire departments in the area.
Fire Chief Gary Johnston says they are honoured to be receiving the grant.
The Southwest Middlesex Fire Department has two stations with one station in Wardsville and one in Glencoe. Southwest Middlesex Fire Department will be receiving $5,000 as part of the grant and they have purchased new training material for new firefighters.
