As we know, back in September, Monte McNaughton resigned as MPP for the riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and now there are two people running for his PC nomination. One is Chatham-Kent Councillor Steve Pinsonneault who’s been in municipal politics since 2006.
He is also the owner of Pinsonneault Enterprises/Steve’s Shop in Thamsville, and for the past 32 years has been a volunteer firefighter and President of the Thamesville Fireman’s Association for the past 15 years. He says right now, is the time to run.
As part of his platform, Pinsonneault is hoping to showcase something near and dear to his heart.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex is a wide-spread area, but Pinsonneault has a plan to unite everyone and keep everything running smoothly.
The deadline for a candidate to come forward has passed, however, the deadline to sign up members for the PC party to be eligible to vote is January 8th. Voting to select the PC candidate for the seat of MPP in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex will start on January 27th.
