Peterborough County-City Paramedics have named a new chief.
Patricia Bromfield, who assumed the role of deputy chief of operations in the fall of 2022, will head the service as Randy Mellow prepares for his retirement at the end of this year.
Before joining the local service, Bromfield served with City of Kawartha Lakes paramedics as a deputy chief and, before that, worked in Toronto.
Over the months ahead, outgoing chief Mellow will provide mentorship and guidance to Bromfield as she assumes her new responsibilities.
“I’m honoured to be following in the footsteps of our decorated chief of paramedics,” says Bromfield, adding “It’s a privilege to work alongside some of Canada’s finest paramedic leaders and staff.”
