Here is a quick snapshot of what’s happening around town in the next 48 hours.
DKMB Minor Baseball registration is open now until February 29th. They offer opportunities for kids ages 4 and up including blastball, hardball and girls fastball. New this year- girls fastball teams are now starting at U9. Register online at dkmb.ca by February 29 to avoid a late fee.
If you are looking to be a part of this years Home, Garden a Leisure Show hosted by 105.7 myFM and presented by Sutton Wolf Realty we are still looking for vendors to join the show. You can fill out a form to get a booth here.
Today, there will be a card making class at Compass Community Church. They are making thank you cards for 37 Frank Youth Centre to give their donors. This is a free event! Register by emailing office@compasscommunitychurch.ca
At the Middlesex County Library in Parkhill there will be a Free drop-in program for families with children 0-6 years old from 9am-11am today. Each Play & Learn program will offer a play-based learning opportunity in one of the indoor library program spaces. Activities planned by EarlyON facilitators encourage positive parent and child interaction and inspire play and learning!
Also today in Parkhill, there will be a Baby Time Program. This is a free drop-in program for families with children 0-12 months old. Siblings are welcome, but please note they will not be supplying materials/toys. They offer circle time (songs & stories) as part of the program.
There will be a Stitch n’ Chat event at the Komoka Library from 1pm-3pm today. Drop in with your needle project to meet and chat with other knitters and crocheters.
At the Strathroy library today, there will be an Afterschool Hangout! Children can drop in and play a variety of fun video games, including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Minecraft, and Super Mario Party from 4:00pm – 5:00pm! For ages 8-13.
Also today at the Strathroy Library from 6:30pm – 7:30pm there will be a Knitting and Crochet Circle. This event is a chance to meet, knit and crochet in a social setting. Drop in with your current project and share your expertise or learn a new skill.
A reminder that tomorrow is a property tax due date. There are a number of ways to make payment, including: in person at the Municipal Office, pre-authorized Payment Plans, with options for automatic withdrawals on the last day of each month OR automatic withdrawals on quarterly installment due dates, online via Virtual City Hall, after-hours drop box located at the front entrance (cheques only), telephone and internet banking, in person at your financial institution. If you have not yet received your property tax bill, please contact the Financial Services team at 519-245-1070.

Tomorrow at the Glencoe library, there will be a Community Crafters Social from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. Drop in and enjoy great conversation with fellow crafters.
On Friday, International Auction will be in town at the Royal Canadian Legion, from 9am-5pm. They are buying all gold and silver items, jewelry, coins, sports cards, and ALL other valuable or collectible items for COMPETITIVE prices. Sell your treasures or get FREE appraisals from trusted experts.

The Strathroy Rockets are in action tomorrow, against the Sarnia Legionnaires in an away game at the Pat Stapleton Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:10pm.
On Friday, the North Middlesex Stars are in action as they take on the Dorchester Dolphins at the Dorchester Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
If you feel you have what it takes to play with the Strathroy Rockets, fill out a Prospect Form on their website as they are looking for new players to join them on the ice next season.
