The overnight parking ban for the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is officially over. The parking ban runs every year from December 1st to March 31st and states that cars left on municipal streets from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. may receive tickets. Law enforcement spent months enforcing this rule to facilitate safe and effective snow removal in winter. Director of Building, Bylaw and Planning, Jennifer Huff says the number of tickets that were handed out during the parking ban period was lower than years previous.
Huff also attributes a strong social media presence to the lower number of tickets that were given this year.
Parking restrictions don’t just apply to those vehicles in Strathroy, but to all streets across the municipality, including Mount Brydges, Melbourne, Campbellvale, and Delaware West.
