A pair of thefts in Arkona that could be connected but not yet confirmed. OPP tell myFM, electronics were stolen following a break-in incident in Arkona. On April 26th around 830am, Police were called to respond to an incident on Townsend Line for a break-in and theft. Upon investigation, it was found that an unidentified person or persons had forcibly entered a building on the premises by breaking a window. This occurred sometime between noon on April 25 and 8:30 a.m. on April 26. The stolen items primarily included electronics.
Just 15 minutes later, food and cash were stolen in a break-in incident in Arkona. OPP tell us the same day around 8:45am, Police were sent to Arkona Road for a break-in and theft. Investigation revealed that an unidentified individual or individuals unlawfully entered a food truck on the premises during the overnight hours. They then proceeded to pilfer food and cash, totaling an estimated value of $600. Authorities urge anyone with relevant video surveillance footage or information from the vicinity to reach out to Lambton OPP. The investigations are continuing.
