The upcoming tourist season in Grand Bend is expected to be bustling, and to enhance visitor comfort, a new set of bathrooms has been installed. This addition comes as a much-needed upgrade, especially given the anticipated influx of tourists this year. The new facility boasts a self-cleaning unit, which not only improves hygiene standards but also reduces the need for additional staff to maintain cleanliness.
Lambton Shores Mayor, Doug Cook says the idea for the new washroom was inspired by a similar unit seen at a municipal conference, which received positive feedback.
Local authorities are confident in the investment, noting that Grand Bend sees a significant return during the summer months. The total investment, including building and installation costs, amounts to approximately $500,000 to $600,000.
This significant expenditure reflects the community’s commitment to providing top-notch amenities for tourists and locals alike.

In addition to the new bathrooms, regular beach patrols and lifeguards will continue to ensure the safety and well-being of beachgoers, reinforcing Grand Bend’s reputation as a premier destination for summer fun.
