If you’re looking to use the splash pads in Mt. Brydges and Strathroy, you’ll have to wait a few days. They are closed until this Thursday for routine maintenance and repairs.
If you’re wondering why this work was not done before the season started, Director of Community Services Rob Lilbourne tells myFM, that most of the routine maintenance is done in the spring before the pads open, however, for tasks that require a contractor, the town depends on contractor availability.
The specific work being completed on the splash pad requires the product being used to cure for a certain period, hence the shutdown. As far as the Aquatic Park outdoor pool, it’s now open for public swimming, lane swimming, lessons and more.
