As we have been informing you all day today, there is a road closure on Adelaide Road. (HWY 81) from Carroll Street to Walkers Drive from today until Thursday to accommodate the installation of a drainage pipe as part of the Saxton Road Reconstruction and Strathroy Crossings Drain project. We reached out to Manager of Public Works with Strathroy-Caradoc Walter Easter to find out more about the drain project.
Easter says this is good news for the South Grove subdivision off Saxton Road, which sees its share of flooding. Easter says it’s anticipated that this work will benefit many residents in the South Grove subdivision off Saxton Road.
The big Saxton Road reconstruction project is expected to start the second week of September. Saxton Road will be closed for 2 to 3 months but access to the subdivision will be available for residents.
