The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc and the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department are offering free fire extinguisher training for local small business owners to help improve fire safety in the community. This training is important for keeping your business, employees, and customers safe.
Running a small business involves many tasks, and fire safety is one that is often overlooked. Our free, one-hour training session will give business owners practical knowledge and hands-on experience in using fire extinguishers correctly.
What You Will Learn:
How to use a fire extinguisher with the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep)
When and how to safely use a fire extinguisher
Tips for maintaining and inspecting fire extinguishers to ensure they are always ready to use
These one-hour training sessions will be held in Strathroy and Mount Brydges on September 25, 2024. You can choose from sessions at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. at the Strathroy Public Works Yard (475 Metcalfe St W., Strathroy), or at 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. at the Mount Brydges Public Works Yard (8605 Falconbridge Dr.).
You can register online by filling out the form at www.strathroy-caradoc.ca/fire-training or by emailing Development Commissioner Heather Lalonde at hlalonde@strathroy-caradoc.ca.
