Exciting news if you are a Strathroy Jets fan as the team announced a pretty big signing this week of Rob Schremp. According to team officials, this signing of the former London Knight and NHLer represents a serious commitment by the organization to focus on attracting high end talent to Strathroy.
Schremp, most known in the area for his Memorial Cup Championship with the London Knights, is a former first round NHL draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers. With over 100 NHL games and 12 seasons of professional hockey in the AHL, SEL, KHL, DEL, and Austria, Schremp will not only inject highend skill into the lineup, but much needed experience and leadership.
“Everyone knows Rob’s ability to handle a puck and make highlight reel plays. That’s certainly
something we’re excited about. But we’re also excited about his competitiveness and experience as a key player in big moments.” explained Mike Bondy, head coach of the Jets.
