After dropping a 5-3 decision to the first place St. Marys Lincolns a week ago Saturday, the Rockets rolled into Sarnia on Thursday only to suffer a lopsided 11-2 loss.
Saturday at the WMMC the Rockets regrouped and responded with a much better effort in a 3-1 loss to the Stratford Warriors.
Fortunately for the Rockets, the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins who were tied with the Rockets in the 8th and final playoff seed also lost a pair of games.
Strathroy and KW remain in 8th place 7 points below Elmira and Listowel and lead the surging Sarnia Legionnaires, who are 4-0-1 in their last 5 games by 6 points.
The Rockets have just a single game this week when they host the Elmira Sugar Kings on Saturday, January 18th at the WMMC.
