Peterborough Transit riders will see fare increases starting Monday, January 27, 2025, following a 25-cent hike per single ride approved by City Council during the 2025 budget deliberations.
The updated rates include $3.25 for a single adult ride (up from $3), $6.50 for two rides, and $12 for a day pass, which covers two adults. Monthly passes will also see increases, with adult passes rising from $72 to $77 and student passes increasing from $66 to $72.
Seniors will pay $300 for an annual pass, up from $275, or $180 for a semi-annual pass, up from $165. The Transit Cab fare will also rise to $4 from $3.75.
Children aged 12 and under can continue to ride for free.
Transit passes are available at the Transit Terminal on Simcoe Street or Lansdowne Place. Riders can also pay fares through the HotSpot App for Apple and Android devices.
