A new season is kicking off this Sunday afternoon at Grand Bend Speedway and Family Centre, which attracts local race fans and drivers alike. The multi-use motor sports facility, just southeast of the Bend, is a popular spot and since the addition of go-karts, it’s gotten even more popular. Owner Tabitha Van Bruwaene says one other change hasn’t hurt either.
Van Bruwaene says there are some new events this year incorporating a 1-mile track in partnership with Grand Bend Motorplex in addition to their traditional 1/4 mile oval.
