More affordable housing in Strathroy could be coming sooner than you think. Last week Strathroy-Caradoc Council reviewed a report which provided an update on the HAF Accelerator Fund as of May 2025. The report included a request for approval of two parcels of land for potential Affordable Housing projects—one at Bella and Francis streets, and the other at 480 Saulsbury Street in Strathroy.
The park and play structure on Saulsbury would remain in place and not be considered surplus as part of this initiative. The motion to approve these sites was passed. Once the lands are officially designated as surplus, the next step will be to develop a program to market and sell the properties for use in affordable housing development.
