Coming up this week its the 47th annual Strathroy Hometown Festival. New this year the multi-day event begins with a first ever country concert tonight (Thursday) in Alexandra park. Friday the real action begins with the show ‘n shine car show downtown at 4pm and opening ceremonies at 6pm. Festival attractions like the midway, vendors alley and beverage garden also open up today, leading into a week jammed with activities. From a bike rodeo, horse and carriage rides, a downtown market, baseball, pickleball and road hockey tournaments, to karaoke idol and the Reptillia zoo also demonstrating over the weekend.
