The annual Strathroy Hometown Festival turned out to be a big success, once thought last week to perhaps be effected by weather resulted in 4 days of sun and great temperatures. This year the festival introduced some new attractions including a Thursday night concert which drew over 500 country fans, in addition to 5 bands on Saturday and the debut of Reptillia London on Sunday which had a packed house for its displays and live shows in Alexandra Park. other attractions like the car show, market, bike rodeo, karaoke idol, horse and carriage rides, baseball pickleball and road hockey tournaments, a huge vendors alley and more made for a great community festival. Due to a late double booking, the festival’s midway could not provide as much as they would have liked but they did promise to make amends in 2026 with the festival dates being June 18-21, 2026.
