The Strathroy Downtown Market is seeing a lot less vendors this season. Booking and Events Coordinator with Strathroy-Caradoc, Kait Topham updated the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) last week.
The market has lost its three full-time produce vendors for various reasons.
And Topham says the 3rd produce vendor left because the market starts and ends earlier than other markets. She admits it’s not good news for the market.
Some ideas brought up by other committee members last week included possibly holding fewer markets to make them more enticing, and holding one night market a month since they’re so popular.
