You’ve no doubt seen the sign Sad Nuggie at the old Amy’s Restaurant in Strathroy. myFM caught up with the creators and owners of the hugely successful local business to find out more about it from Ryan Thompson.
Like many things, covid played a role in its popularity.
Thompson says they keep growing.
Co-owner and founder Rowan Carter explains their humble beginnings.
Thompson says they have big plans for the former Amy’s site.
They hope to make it a tourist attraction.
Thompson says it’s definitely not just Canadians who love the Sad Nuggie.
Carter says they expect to hire 10-15 people for retail shortly, and they hope to open at least one side of the building by August 1st and the rest by the Fall.
