This week at Strathroy-Caradoc Council, they received correspondence from the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks flagging ongoing issues at the Mount Brydges Wastewater Treatment Plant, noting that despite the submission of an interim design plan in 2023, required upgrades have yet to move forward.
Strathroy-Caradoc has not been in compliance with the Ministry for the last 7 years and have been approved for a 30-day extension and a deadline of the end of August to formally respond. In preparation, Council will hold a workshop on July 28th to assess the current situation and determine a path forward. Please visit the link for the complete correspondence from Mark Smith, Water Compliance Supervisor with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
