The Strathroy Firefighters Association is reminding residents about the risks associated with phone charging. The SFA points to a fire at a residence in London last week which luckily only burned a mattress that a cell phone had been charging. It had overheated and caused the fire, and fire officials remind everyone to never charge phones, laptops or any electronic device on a soft surface or under a pillow. Always charge on a hard surface like a table.
