The Strathroy Rockets recent resurgence from a dismal start to the season sparked a massive 3-team deal this week involving the London Nationals and the Cambridge Redhawks.
As part of the transaction, London acquired Will Janicek and Joshua Lapinski from Strathroy, along with a $5,000 player development fee from Cambridge and the playing rights to Ryder Simpson.
Cambridge, in turn, received Nathan Gaitens from Strathroy.
Strathroy strengthened its roster by obtaining Eddie Hickson, one of London’s standout players and a signed prospect of the London Knights.
Over their last 6 games, the Rockets went 5-0-1 after starting the year with only 4 wins in their first 17 games.
