Fanshawe College is launching a new, four-year Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree which will replace the college’s collaborative nursing program with Western University.
Fanshawe has been educating nurses since 1973 and the new program promotes excellence in nursing education at a time when there is an increasing need to prepare more professional nurses, stresses Fanshawe nursing professor Pat Bethune-Davies.
The new honours program builds on a legacy of partnerships with community Hospital Schools of Nursing, including St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Prospective students can now apply with the first cohort beginning next September.
