Strathroy’s Community Kitchen of Hope continues to be successful in going above and beyond for those who need a little help in our community. The group are incorporated and registered as a not for profit, and are waiting to receive charitable status. As of the end of February, the month itself had the most meals served in one month with 407.
There will be 160 volunteers per month starting this month, 3300 meals have been served since May 5th, organizations like VON and CMHA continue to pick up people as needed to attend the kitchen for a meal. The Kitchen of Hope delivers 12 meals per week to the hotel outside of town, and 14 churches and a total of 30 organizations are currently contributing to the success of the kitchen.
