Workers represented by Unifor Local 27 have overwhelmingly endorsed a new three-year collective agreement with pharmaceutical manufacturer Catalent in Strathroy, Ontario, with 94 per cent voting in favour. Unifor National President Lana Payne said the strong result reflects the unity of the membership and the meaningful progress achieved at the bargaining table.
The agreement includes wage increases, the ability to bank up to 200 hours, and enhancements to employee benefits. A total of 174 workers are covered under the agreement, including machine operators and skilled tradespeople who manufacture medications such as Tylenol. The contract will remain in effect until March 9, 2029.
