It came down to the final seconds, and the Mount Brydges Bulldogs made it count.
With less than 30 seconds left on the clock of last night’s game 7 matchup between the Bulldogs and the North Middlesex Stars, the Bulldogs found the back of the net, sealing the PJHL Yeck Division Championship in dramatic fashion.
The win is a huge moment for the team. It marks the Bulldogs’ first Yeck Division title in the Junior C era. In recent years, the team came close, reaching the finals in the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons, but falling just short.
With the victory, the Bulldogs now move on to the PJHL Western Conference Final, where they will face the winner of tonight’s Lakeshore and Essex series from the Stobbs Division.
For the Bulldogs, it was a long-awaited win, and one that came at the perfect moment.
