Housing sales are starting to pick up again, with 586 homes changing hands last month in the London and St. Thomas region, which also includes Strathroy-Caradoc.
That’s a 4.1 per cent increase from the same month a year ago…and 186 more units than the month before, according to LSTAR, the London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors.
The price of homes was also up, mostly in St. Thomas and London South.
LSTAR Chair Robin Tiller says announcements by the federal and provincial government last week are encouraging steps to help boost housing supply and create more meaningful paths to home ownership.
