A special event is being held at Town Hall this morning to mark Parkinson’s Awareness Day and show support for those living with Parkinson’s disease.
The event will bring together Mayor Colin Grantham, community members, and individuals and families connected to Parkinson’s. After a few short remarks, a Parkinson’s awareness flag will be raised as a symbol of hope, strength, and support.
Organizers say the event is part of a larger awareness campaign taking place throughout April. The campaign shares real stories from people living with Parkinson’s to highlight their experiences and remind others that support is available.
