A youth from North Middlesex is facing several charges following two fraud investigations in Parkhill.
Middlesex County OPP say the first incident was reported on January 13th, when officers were called to a home on John Street. Police say a debit card had been used without permission, with nearly $1,000 in fraudulent charges.
A second report came on January 23rd from a home on Duke Street. In that case, police say a debit card was also used fraudulently, with close to $2,000 in charges.
The OPP’s Integrated Fraud Awareness and Response Initiative team assisted with the investigations. As a result, a 17-year-old from Parkhill has been identified and charged. The youth is facing multiple charges, including fraud under $5,000, unauthorized use of a credit card, and possession of property obtained by crime.
