Sarnia police say a London man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at Lambton College earlier this month has been taken into custody. Investigators located a residence in London where 24-year-old Kyaw “Chin” Doe was believed to be staying. Doe was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant with a $50,000 reward. London police, along with the emergency response unit, surrounded the home, leading to his surrender. He was arrested at the scene and turned over to Sarnia police.
Doe is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm while prohibited. The charges stem from a shooting on April 10 outside a campus bar, where 20-year-old Dane Nisbet was killed and two others were injured. Police allege Doe had been involved in confrontations at several bars and restaurants earlier that night before arriving at the campus pub.
