Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital is celebrating one year since the launch of its MRI service, marking an important milestone for local healthcare.
Devin Sturdy, Vice President of Corporate Services and CFO, says the addition of MRI services has improved access to diagnostic care for patients in the community and across the region.
He says the service allows people to receive faster diagnoses closer to home, while also helping reduce pressure on larger hospitals.
Sturdy says the program has exceeded expectations, with strong demand and a noticeable impact on wait times.
He adds that the success of the MRI service is thanks to strong collaboration between the hospital, community partners, and donors who helped make the project possible.
Sturdy says the MRI program continues to improve patient care and will remain an important part of healthcare in the region moving forward.
