The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) is inviting applications for its 2026 scholarship program, which supports local students planning to pursue careers in environmental fields. Up to four scholarships will be awarded, including two valued at $1,000 and two at $500. These awards are open to graduating high school students who are continuing their education in environmental disciplines such as biology, ecology, geography, forestry, agriculture, as well as fish and wildlife studies.
To be eligible, applicants must either live within the SCRCA watershed or attend a secondary school in communities including Sarnia, Forest, Petrolia, Wallaceburg, Dresden, or Strathroy. The scholarships were established in memory of Archibald W. Campbell, Tony Stranak, and Mary Jo Arnold, and are funded through generous donations to trust funds managed by the St. Clair Region Conservation Foundation. The deadline for applications is May 31, 2026.
Scholarship applications can be obtained by contacting the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority at (519) 245-3710 or visiting the SCRCA website at Scholarships – St. Clair Region Conservation Authority.
