Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service is investigating an incident that happened at the local high school on April 22nd.
Police say they were notified on April 23rd after two students were seriously injured during the incident. Following an investigation, several students were identified as being involved.
Two male youths have been arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. A third male youth was dealt with through extrajudicial measures for causing a disturbance.
Police also say the school has taken its own action, including suspensions for students involved. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identities of those involved cannot be released.
Police say they take all incidents of violence seriously and continue to work with local schools to promote safe and respectful learning environments.
They are also reminding parents, students, and community members about the importance of respectful behaviour and reporting concerns to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
