UPDATE: Tonight’s show has been postponed due to weather! The official kick off of the season will instead be next week.
Car lovers in Strathroy-Caradoc are getting ready for another busy season as the Strathroy-Caradoc Cruisers Car Club prepares to kick things off the 2026 season. Vice President John Ball says opening night is set for tonight weather permitting, and this year will start with a special theme, Tractor Night.
The event takes place at Kahuna Cones on Highway 81, which is now the club’s permanent home. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of food options, including meals from JB’s Catering, fries from the Mount Brydges Lions Club, pizza, and ice cream.
Ball says the club plans to host several themed nights throughout the season.
The club supports many local organizations, including Strathroy Hospice, local food banks, community groups, and healthcare services.
Car shows will run on the second Wednesday of each month from May through September, with a rain date set for the following week if needed and the events are free to attend.
This year, the club is also holding a raffle fundraiser in support of Strathroy Hospice. Tickets are $5, with a custom bicycle as the grand prize, and the draw will take place in November.
Ball says the club would not have the success it has without the community.
