Two orphaned baby fawns rescued near Strathroy earlier this week are expected to stay at an animal refuge near Port Dover for several months before being released back into the wild.
Strathroy-Caradoc police responded earlier this week to a deer hit by a car and it was discovered that she had given birth to the fawns nearby before being struck.
Police quickly stepped in to care for the baby animals then arranged for specialized wildlife support.
The fawns are reportedly doing very well.
