If you really love fireworks, you can get a double dose this Canada Day with celebrations in both Strathroy, out behind the Gemini, and as part of the Del-Ko-Brydge festivities. Ward 2 Councillor Brian Derbyshire brought up the Mount Brydges events during Monday’s council meeting.
Fireworks are set to blast off at the Komoka Community Centre July 1st around 10pm. Ward 2 Councillor Greg Willsie explains why they’re not in Mount Brydges when it is the community playing host to the Canada Day events this year.
Many other events are still in Mount Brydges though including a free pancake breakfast, parade, family activities all day and cake and ice cream. It all gets underway at 7:30am. As we told you last week, the Strathroy ALMOST Canada Day celebrations are set for June 30th behind the Gemini Sportsplex with a night market, food vendors, live entertainment, fireworks and a drone show. Donations for both the Del-Ko-Brydge and Strathroy events are greatly appreciated.
