We told you recently about the re-launched foster program at the Humane Society London Middlesex…and a couple of other new programs are the dog day out and paw-jama party programs.
Director of Community and Animal Supports, Melanie Paterack tells myFM more about those dogs breaking out for a day of fun.
She says the results are wonderful.
It’s perfect for people who enjoy having a dog around but maybe can’t commit to it full-time right now.
Melanie says they’ve found the dogs who are out for an adventure have reduced stress levels and when they go back to the shelter, their stress levels are still lower and they get adopted much faster.
