The Chair of the Board of Directors for the Strathroy Hospice is thrilled with last week’s council decision…which supported the proposed Hospice site out in the country, despite it being against the provincial planning act.
Tyler Damen tells myFM the meeting, which he attended, was pretty special.
Damen admits while they still have a long way to go, last week’s vote was a local victory.
As for the next steps in the long road towards getting a hospice in Strathroy-Caradoc?
The proposed hospice site, on farmland between Strathroy and Mount Brydges, goes against provincial rules but 7 out of 9 council members said last week that sometimes you have to break the rules if it’s important enough.
