myFM has an update now regarding a breaking news story from this morning.
myFM reached out to CN for comment and was provided with the following response:
“CN crews are responding to the collision of a train and truck this morning in Kerwood, ON. Two crew members aboard the train were taken to hospital for evaluation.
Initial reports indicate there are no leaks or fires and no danger to the public. One locomotive derailed upright, but no railcars were affected.
Kerwood Road will remain closed to allow crews to safely rerail the locomotive.” – Tom Bateman, Manager of Public Affairs with CN
CN thanks local emergency services for their assistance. Updates will be provided once the road has reopened.
