A London man is facing several charges after Strathroy-Caradoc Police recovered a stolen vehicle in Mount Brydges.
Police say officers were called just after 7:20 a.m. on June 17th, after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle near Adelaide Road and Thomas Street.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle partially blocking a private driveway with the driver asleep behind the wheel. During the investigation, police determined the vehicle had been reported stolen. The driver was arrested without incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old London man has been charged with operation while impaired, failure to comply with a demand, possession of break-in instruments, unauthorized possession of a weapon, driving without a licence, possession of a Schedule I substance, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service is reminding residents that reporting suspicious activity can help keep the community safe. Anyone who sees suspicious behaviour is encouraged to contact police. In an emergency, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency matters, contact the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service at 519-245-1250.
