If you’re planning a trip to Grand Bend Beach today, you may want to stay out of the water.
The beach has been posted as unsafe for swimming today, July 22nd after recent water tests found high levels of bacteria.
Lambton Public Health regularly tests the water at public beaches, including Grand Bend, to help keep visitors safe.
Before heading to the beach, residents are encouraged to check the latest water quality updates by texting BEACH to 226-909-3003, calling the Beach Info Line, or checking the online beach water quality map.
Officials will continue to monitor the water and update the beach status as conditions change.
