A proposed zoning change that would have allowed a data center on the Adair Boulevard property has been withdrawn.
Mayor Colin Grantham announced via his Facebook page this evening that council was informed the applicant has removed the request to add a data center as a permitted use for the property.
The mayor called the decision a win for the community and thanked residents for speaking up and sharing their concerns throughout the process.
Grantham also said council will now look at putting safeguards in place to help guide any similar requests that may come forward in the future.
