The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department is inviting families to beat the heat at its free Cool Off with the Crew event tonight. Firefighter Andrew King says the event gives children a chance to cool down while meeting local firefighters in a fun and relaxed setting.
The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is completely free. As far as what you need to bring to the event, King says not much.
King says the event is the department’s way of giving back to the community.
The fire department is also thanking the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc for supporting the event by allowing crews to use a fire truck and hydrant.
