The annual Backpack for Kids campaign is returning to Strathroy-Caradoc, and organizers are asking the community to help local students get ready for the new school year.
Strathroy-Caradoc Police Constable Katherine Lockwood says the first collection event will take place on August 6 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Strathroy Walmart.
Lockwood says having the right school supplies gives students the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
Donations will also be collected at Canadian Tire on August 12, Giant Tiger on August 20, and the Real Canadian Superstore on August 21.
Lockwoods asks that all donated school supplies be new so every student can begin the school year with the items they need.
