Strathroy-Caradoc council has had a long discussion and received information regarding a rezoning application that was hijacked for a time with much talk about a possible data centre. That was before the applicant withdrew the data centre possibility last week…leaving the parcel of land on Adair Boulevard still open to possible future uses that could include indoor agricultural, office or private education and workshop purposes. But only if council votes to rezone the area, which hasn’t happened yet.
While some residents who attended a public meeting on the issue Tuesday night had concerns about the land being industrial, Councillor Frank Kennes was quick to point something out.

Deputy Mayor Mike McGuire pointed out the province also has measures in place to prevent data centres from setting up shop here.
