A Special Weather Statement is in effect for Strathroy, Komoka and western Middlesex County.
Environment Canada says heavy rainfall is possible this afternoon and into this evening, with some areas getting more than 50 millimetres of rain.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, and rainfall amounts could vary greatly from one area to another. Some areas have already received 50 to 100 millimetres this morning.
Heavy rain could lead to water pooling on roads, poor visibility and flash flooding, especially in low-lying areas.
