Two significant health care announcements from the province will help with patient care at both Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Four Counties Health Services in Newbury.
The province announced last week that it’s investing more than 3.3 million dollars in additional base operating funding, along with targeted one-time investments, to support patient care and help reduce wait times.
At SMGH, some of the funds will go towards helping to reduce Emergency Department wait times. The province also announced last week that it’s investing 6.4 million dollars to renew hospital infrastructure at the hospitals in Strathroy and Newbury.
