A vintage baseball team is looking for a couple of younger players, between 17 and 24 years old, from the Strathroy area. The team is seeking players in good physical condition who have a sense of history and a love for old-time baseball.
The team uses vintage baseball equipment from 1924 and earlier, including wood bats, and has uniforms available. Several games are already scheduled for September and October, with practices currently taking place in Mount Brydges and Glencoe.
The team is especially looking for a solid catcher and pitchers, and is seeking players with high school-calibre skills. Anyone interested can look for the Bob Smith post on the Strathroy Ontario Facebook page for more information.
