An overflowing agenda last week for Strathroy-Caradoc council meant they couldn’t get to everything before they had to be out of town hall at 10:45pm, following a meeting start at 6pm.
Five public meetings, including a couple that brought large crowds, were on the agenda along with financial statements, department reports, a slew of bylaw amendments and some asks for financial assistance from both the Strathroy Rockets and Strathroy Community Kitchen of Hope.
Councillor Frank Kennes, who has decided not to run for re-election, chimed in.
Kennes was concerned members couldn’t take more time with some of the issues.
The Strathroy Rockets are hoping council will reduce their rental rates a bit and the Kitchen of Hope is asking for council to cover their VON transportation to the tune of $5000 a year. Both matters will be sent to the Community Development Advisory Committee.
