Some new Safety Zones have been set up on County Roads across the region. Middlesex County Council just passed amendments to the Community Safety Zones By-Law to establish five new zones typically placed near where people are more likely to be walking, cycling or crossing the road including schools, playgrounds, and parks.
The zones will have signage, reduced speed limits and increased fines. Two of new spots are near Poplar Hill Park…one on Poplar Hill Road and the other on Medway Road.
The others are on Ilderton Road near Valleyview Public School and Delaware Park and on Gideon Drive near Medway High School.
